The Career Development Center will assist you in making a successful transition from college into your chosen profession. The center provides a well-balanced variety of onsite and online direct services, educational programs, and resource materials for all students and alumni. When you visit the Career Development Center you can expect to receive the following services:
- Career Advisement, which can help you through self-awareness, career exploration, career decision-making, and the implementation of your career choices. Career advisors also offer graduate school pre-admissions advising.
- Employment services that will guide you in securing meaningful part and full-time jobs
- Internship and Cooperative Education advising that will help you to obtain meaningful internships and other experiential learning opportunities relevant to your major and career exploration goal.
- Resume and cover letter writing assistance; mock interviews, professional dress and business etiquette guidance.
The Career Development Center is open to all students not just juniors and seniors. We encourage you to visit the Center during your freshman year. The sooner you begin developing your career goals, strategies and a professional resume, the better equipped you will be to apply for a prestigious internships and/or cooperative education experiences that will give you a competitive edge when entering the employment marketplace.
