Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is responsible for coordinating environmental health and safety on campus and implementing mandated environmental and occupational health and safety programs for the College. The EHS staff also provides technical and administrative support to the campus community in the areas of chemical and radiation safety, hazardous materials management, occupational health & safety, etc.

Office services include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Occupational health and safety
  • Hazardous materials management
  • Industrial hygiene
  • Asbestos and lead surveys
  • Indoor air quality
  • Laboratory safety
  • Accident prevention and injury reporting
  • Biosafety and infectious waste management
  • Chemical waste management & disposal
  • Hazard communication and training
  • Hazardous materials emergency response

In addition to program management, the office maintains service contracts for chemical waste and biomedical waste removal, plus industrial hygiene, asbestos, and lead analysis. The office is also actively involved in safety-related issues during renovation and construction projects on campus. EHS welcomes the opportunity to serve you.
