Through the NYPD Certificate Program, John Jay offers members of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) the opportunity to develop their leadership skills.  This program is made possible through funding from the New York City Council, with the Mayor’s support.  Available to NYPD-sworn uniform members of the service carrying firearms, this program provides a package of four,3-credit undergraduate or graduate tuition-free coursesduring the fall and spring semesters.  Students who complete the program are awarded a professional certificate and can apply certificate course credits toward an undergraduate or graduate degree at the College.
