Instructional Technology Support Services (ITSS) administers the Laptop Loan Center to provide computers for short term use to John Jay College students. It is conveniently located as an annex to the ITSS Student Computer Lab Center (1404N).
ITSS introduced the student program to provide an alternative personalized computing experience via compute-anywhere mobile computers (i.e. Laptops and Tablet PCs). With John Jay College wireless network connectivity pre-configured and productivity software such as MS Office, SPSS and others pre-installed, students can be productive with these laptops immediately upon receiving them according to the loan procedure. The laptop loan procedure simply requires students to pre-register and agree to the loan policies, then present their valid JJC student ID cards at the Laptop Loan Center.

Note: Effective October 21st, 2008, the ITSS Laptop Loan Center has extended the loan time to 5 hours.
